After a lifetime of working hard, travelling the world and building our careers, we felt it was time for a new chapter.
We weren’t looking to escape life. We wanted to create an even better one.
When Erik discovered Villa Alegría, he immediately felt there was something special about this place. He took a leap of faith and bought the house before we had even seen it together. When Sylvia arrived, she quickly understood why. The pine trees, fountains, peaceful atmosphere and sense of space made it feel like the beginning of a dream.
Together, we transformed Villa Alegría into a place where life slows down and happiness is found in the little things.
Hospitality has always been part of who we are. Through our international careers in hospitality, aviation, coaching and global beverage industry, we have always shared the same passion: making people feel welcome, cared for and appreciated.
